Travel Destination: Salzburg, Austria
I'm not normally like that, honestly. I don't burst into tears over something as small as that. But for some reason, in between all the burning pain each time I swallowed, and sounding like a chipmunk on helium, I felt miserable. And not myself at all.
And so, in an attempt to recover at lightning fast speed before my last few weddings for the year, I am prescribing myself a mandatory 48 hour lifestyle that consists of massive amounts of sleep, warm honey water, and catching up on as many of my favourite things. The first being, blogging :) - I know it is going to be a terrifyingly busy month ahead, but it is just 3 weeks away from the year closing and I am hoping to retain the blogging momentum as much as I can while I look forward to weeks of rest, time at home, and celebrating Christmas and New year with the loved ones.
So, here is me, doing what I love. Blogging. Enjoy my personal snaps from Salzburg, Austria. The land of The Sound Of Music - a musical I loved watching, while growing up! It's definitely a place I will love to return to, in the Summer, when the hills are donned with glorious sunshine, and decked with flowers amongst the meadows.
These were just some things that made my eyes and heart happy along the adventure through Salzburg that day :) Note: the first 10 photos or so were taken while I was on a train from my window, so apologies if some shots are exactly perfect.
The mountains really are stunning. Even in the winter.
We saw the first snow arrive :)
And we were lucky enough to see the sun and sky come out for about 5 minutes before it disappeared again :P
When we finally arrived in the city.
These were apparently the grounds where the Sound of Music was filmed. Called, Schloss Mirabell, these are the 2nd most popular grounds to get married on - IN THE WORLD. We have no idea what is the #1 place. If anyone knows, please tell me! :)
We then wandered into the shops in the old part of Salzburg. It was really really pretty!
Including the Christmas Markets that had started already :)
Oh and this cafe - Cafe, Furst - has some of the most DELICIOUS chocolates. Seriously, they cost 1 Euro - worth it! :D
And here is the famous Salzburg chocolate cake, from Hotel Sacher - the only cake that is a STATE secret!
This shop by Henri J. Sillam, peaked my interest because it is only open for 2 months in the entire year. Its apparently been around for ages. No guess as to how much each piece inside costs. Crazy!!
We then climbed the tower in Salzburg to see the views from above.
The views were stunning.
My husband and I, taking turns with the big camera.
Just some interesting things on the way back :)
Wilder Mann - best pork Schnitzel in town. It was filled with red wine, mushrooms, ham, cheese....mmmmm :)
Love all the Christmas lights! :D
And this last shot is not a creative one. Just wanted a happy snap with the hubby and I :)
Adios!!

Travel Destination: Munich, Germany
It was getting to me. The busyness, that is. Every now and again it does, and believe me, it takes a fair and generous portion of crazy preceding the 'I-want-to-tear-my-hair-out' stage. So before the sinister enemy gets to me, I usually do one of four things to stay on top of the game. I sing. I eat. I facebook. I watch re-runs of one of my favourite TV shows (The Vampire Diaries has been the latest target). This time however, busyness was rearing it's ugly head in quite an unsightly fashion and nothing seemed to be working, so I decided to run. Like, pack-my-bags-and-get-out-of-here kind of run. For real.
Okay, before you get a complete heart attack and think I have entirely gone mad and deserted my work - just breathe :) I decided to just take a short break and getaway, joining my husband in Germany and Austria to soak in the chilly winter air, and regain a little bit of my head back in the process :)
And it was wonderful.
It may have been wintry, with the breeze laced with frost, but the sights were magical, and it was good to be out and about, and away. Even if life back at home had just paused momentarily. It was good. Good to be with my husband, walking the streets of Munich hand in hand with our cold-tipped fingers clasped together. Good for my eyes to be refreshed with different sights to inspire. Good to breathe. And good to just be. In those moments as the first snow of Germany floated in and around my face, and I heard the musicians in their thick winter coats playing classical music under those german arches, I was happy and my heart was full.
Here are some things that peaked my eye's interest the day we spent in Munich.
Happy thursday everyone! I'll have photos from Salzburg, Austria next (the land of The Sound of Music!)
A Picnic Music Engagement: Paul + Yunny
The forceful gusts of wind rushed through her hair, while they burst out in uninhibited laughter. It was in between those moments that I caught sight of Paul gently brushing his palms against her head to keep the strands from covering her eyes. And it happened again and again and again, all throughout the session. I never quite figured out why he so faithfully did so, nor in such a constant matter... but she didn't mind, almost as if there was some quiet language between the two expressed in between those palms and those locks of hair...holding her almost as if he was holding a treasure. And that was when I realized, that was it. It must have been. Because it would then make sense, and explain why he held her so cherishingly, and why she huddled even closer into him, every time he did so. If that was the case, then I loved it. You know? Watching a man love his woman with such sweet adoration because he knows just how fortunate and just how blessed he is to be able to call her his, and hold her as is own.
My only hope and prayer is that those of you out there who have someone dear and special to you, to never forget that. And to always remember just what an amazing treasure you have in your arms as the years roll on, as the arguments come and go, as beauty fades, as the hurtful words are exchanged, as you say sorry for your wrongs, and as old age wears into your love. Remember. Because love like that blesses the heart, enriches the soul, and fills the life it has lived in :)
Thank you Paul and Yunny for sharing a snippet into your love story. I adored documenting a part of it, and I just know without a sliver of doubt that God is going to be glorified by leaps and bounds by your marriage. You two are the sweetest :)
xx
Enjoy my favourites from their session!
And a slideshow with lots and lots of extra photos, plus as always - a pretty song that sits high on my faves in my playlist :) To those viewing this post via RSS feed, you can view the slideshow HERE. And remember to press the HD button for full quality!! Its worth it and much better, I promise!!
The JSP Facebook Page
I'm sitting here on my mustard yellow sofa bed, slumped in an overly comfortable spot, and strangely...not really knowing what to say or write. Perhaps lethargy has finally reared its ugly head, and my brain has finally entered a somewhat comatosed state. All I am thinking right this very moment is: food, bed, a tub of mango yoghurt, some salt and vinegar chips, and a countless number of episodes of Vampire Diaries to get me back on track! :)
Of coure, as life has it, I must run with the wind, and soldier on through the crazy! Stealing an episode of Vampire Diaries in between ;)
For now, I wanted to share with you all something that has meant alot to me - YOU. That's right, each and everyone of you who read, follow, tell your friends, and come back to read this blog of mine and have made our humble little facebook fanpage (I still cringe at the word!! It still holds a little more vanity in between its letter than I am comfortable with.. ) grow from ZERO in february this year, to a crazy almost 9000 today!!! I don't know where all of you come from, but I know it is YOU who make JSP what it is today. Please know that even though I may not be able to always answer each and every one of your messages or emails, I do read all of them and there is not a single one I take for granted. For a girl who secretly needs a tiny morself of assurance every now and again, all of you 'almost 9000' really fill my heart with smiles :)
So, this post is a THANK YOU for putting a little sunshine into my insane peak season for just being there, and coming back, again and again and again :) I want to give away a little something I recently fell in love with... I was given one of these beautiful necklaces (it has my name on it) by a reader/follower whom I've not even met, not long ago, and I was blown away with her incredible generosity, and impeccable taste!! I love cute and vintage/rustic looking items, and I thought it would be so wonderful to pass on some of these wonderful little vintage camera necklaces to you out there!!
So how do you get one?
Easy! You just need to do 3 things :)
(1) Leave a comment in the comment box of this blog post (yes, so to those reading via RSS feed, you need to come back to the ORIGINAL BLOG post to leave the comment - do not leave it under the comments of the notes or your feed) to tell me your name, where you are from, how long you've been following JSP for, and how you heard about JSP!
(2) Post a picture to the 'FAN PHOTOS' section of the JSP facebook page (its in the photo tab, on the left hand column of the page), telling us in 25 words or less why you are a fan of JSP. Be as creative as you like. It can be as simple as text on white, with a creative message..... or you can use pictures.... the sky is the limit. It just has to be uploaded in that section, and it must have 25 words or less why you are a fan of JSP.
(3) Then, tell your friends to 'like' your uploaded photo!
The top 10 photos/pictures with the most 'likes' when this giveaway ends will get one of these cute little vintage camera necklaces!! I'll also pick my favourite, as the 11th winner :) This special 11th winner, will also receive a limited edition of my JSP travel postcards (there's 20 in the set) and you get them in soft copy on DVD too for your desktop/computer wallpaper too :)
So the sooner you enter, the better! As it means you'll have more time to share your uploaded photo around! :)
REMEMBER: YOU MUST DO ALL THREE THINGS ABOVE TO QUALIFY!! :D
Giveaway ends: Monday 29th November 2010 (at 11:59pm), and I'll announce the winners later in the week. Make sure you are contactable if you are the winner! :D
Have a wonderful week ahead everyone! I'm off to catch my breath for awhile! Back soon! :)

Hello everyone! I thought I'd drop into your thursday and brighten up your screens with a conception that I worked on not too long ago. For now, enjoy the photos from this styled shoot :) I hope you love the images as much as I do!
